Whitetail Hunts at Bristle Ridge

Bristle Ridge Whitetails offers self guided whitetail hunts in NW Missouri. These hunts are for experienced hunters who enjoy hunting on their own, scouting properties, and making decisions in the field. After many seasons and contacts with out-of-state hunters, we found that most experienced hunters looking for out of state whitetail hunts in the Midwest are not wanting a fully-guided hunt. They want to hunt how they like to hunt and at their own pace! They do not want to be told where to sit for 5-days even tho they are not seeing deer. They want low pressured private properties with excellent habitat for whitetails. This is what we strive for, providing affordable hunts on quality top notch managed properties with minimal pressure. Hunts are on a limited basis each year to assure each hunter is hunting on a fresh farm without pressure being an issue.

- Locations

Bristle Ridge operates on 2 camps. The "south camp" and the "north camp." Our south camp "The home place" is located just minutes away from the Iowa state line near Guilford Missouri situated along the Platte River. Our north camp is located just seconds away from the Iowa state line near Clearmont Missouri.

- Accommodations

We have many options available to best accommodate all price points of a hunt. You can hunt by the day, with or without lodging, and with or without meals. We arrange options to best fit your budget.

Packaged hunts at Bristle Ridge Whitetails includes:

- 5-day hunt.

- Lodging.

- 1 prepared meal per day (dinner).

- Snacks and drinks (cold food, microwave and refrigerator on site).

Each hunter is responsible for the cleaning and prepping of their harvested whitetail. Assistance is available if needed.

- Lodging

Lodging at Bristle Ridge is everything you would expect based around a family farming operation. A "down home" atmosphere with great people. With our lodging you will be provided with everything needed for your stay; bedding, bathing, internet access, television, microwave, refrigerator, and a comfortable place to sleep and hang out during your stay.

- Stands

We have stands in place ready to hunt, but we do encourage hunters to bring a stand(s) with them if they would prefer hunting an area where we have not placed a stand. We try to place stands in the best place, but not all areas are covered. Provided stands are typically lock-on stands and or ladder stands.

- Booking your hunt

Booking your hunt at Bristle Ridge is as simple as making a phone call. 50% of agreed upon price is due at the time of booking to lock down your dates to hunt. Deposits can be paid in cash, check, or money order. Like mentioned above, limited spots are open each year so please don't hesitate to call and book your hunt.

- What to bring

We do provide snack foods and drinks (beverages are allowed), but feel free to pack your own snacks, drinks, and or food if you wish.

- Hunting License - Tree stand safety Harness (required)

- Game cleaning tools (knives etc.) - Extra clothing
